ATEEZ (Hangul: 에이티즈) is a South Korean boy band under KQ Entertainment. The group consisting of members Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho. They debuted on October 24th, 2018 with Treasure Ep.1: All to Zero.

ATEEZ is an acronym for "A TEEnager Z", It also stands for "A to Z" meaning everyone, they are a group of teenagers who are aiming to do everything they can enthusiastically.
History[]
2017: Audition for MIXNINE[]
All the boys auditioned but only (Hongjoong, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho) managed to enter the program.
2018: Pre-debut and Treasure Ep.1:All to Zero[]
Prior to their debut, Ateez were called KQ Fellaz after their label, KQ Entertainment. KQ Entertainment released a YouTube series, KQ Fellaz American Training in which they traveled to Los Angeles, California to train. During this show, KQ Entertainment introduced a ninth member to the trainee group, Lee Junyoung. Together, they composed and choreographed a song, produced by the leader Hongjoong, and trained at dance studios Movement Lifestyle and Millennium Dance Complex. Yunho was also featured in one of Millennium's dance videos. The group released their first performance video on May 18. Through this release, KQ Entertainment announced that trainee Lee Junyoung would not join the final debut team. For the finale of the YouTube series, KQ Fellaz released the song, "From", on July 3, 2018.
Following the YouTube Series, KQ Entertainment announced KQ Fellaz's reality show on June 26, 2018, with the first of three teasers. The second teaser was released on July 3, in which they introduced the official name for the group: Ateez. Hence, the reality show was ultimately called Code Name is ATEEZ. The third teaser was uploaded on July 13, showcasing the show's opening title. The show premiered on the Korean broadcasting media Mnet on July 20.
On October 2, 2018, through their official SNS, Ateez released a teaser photo announcing their debut date. Additionally, it provided of the date and location of their debut showcase: October 24 in Yes24 Livehall. Following this announcement, they sequentially uploaded teaser photos from October 8 to October 23. On October 24, 2018, Ateez released their debut EP, Treasure EP.1: All To Zero. Alongside the release of the album were music videos for titles tracks, "Pirate King" and "Treasure". The album reached #7 on the Gaon Albums Chart. The group held their debut showcase in the same day. Their first music show performance was on October 25 on Mnet's M Countdown.
2019: Treasure Ep.2, Treasure Ep.3, Treasure Ep.Fin, The Expedition Tour and Debut in Japan[]
On January 2, Ateez released an image through their official SNS with Morse code as the caption. They later confirmed their comeback EP, Treasure EP.2: Zero to One, on January 3 with a follow-up teaser.[22] On January 15, they released their new EP, Treasure EP.2: Zero to One, alongside the music video for the title track, "Say My Name". The performance video of "HALA HALA (Hearts Awakened, Live Alive)" was released on February 7.[25] On January 24, they announced their first-ever tour, titled The Expedition Tour, with March tour dates in Brooklyn, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
On February 20, they announced more tour dates for Europe, with April shows in London, Lisbon, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan, Budapest, Stockholm, Warsaw, and Moscow. All fifteen shows were completely sold out.
On May 9, the music video for "Promise" was released. On May 17, Ateez performed at KCON 2019 Japan in Chiba, Japan.
On June 5, Ateez announced their first tour of Australia, titled The Expedition Tour In Australia, with shows scheduled in Melbourne on August 9 at Margaret Court Arena and Sydney on August 11 at The Big Top Sydney. The band released their third EP, Treasure EP.3: One to All on June 10. The lead single from the EP, "Wave", was selected via a fan vote. On the same day, the music video of "Wave" and "Illusion" was released. On June 20, Ateez won their first music program broadcast award on M Countdown. On June 25, they won their second music program broadcast award, 1st Place The Show Choice Winner on The Show.
On July 6, Ateez performed at KCON 2019 NY in New York City, USA. On July 8, the music video for "Aurora" was released. Aurora was written, composed and produced by leader Hongjoong. On August 16, Ateez participated in and performed at KCON Rookies, which was part of KCON LA.
On August 17, Ateez performed at the KCON 2019 concert in Los Angeles. On August 19, Ateez also performed at the KCON LA After Party. On August 20, Ateez received their first music award Best Performance Award at Soribada Awards 2019.
On September 18, Ateez announced their comeback and the final part of the Treasure series: Treasure EP.Fin: All to Action. A series of photo and video teasers were released for the album. They performed at KCON Thailand on September 29.
On October 4, Ateez performed at Spotify On Stage 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia. On October 6, they performed at Seoul Music Festival (SMUF). On October 8, Ateez released their first full studio album, Treasure EP.Fin: All to Action. The music video of the title song "Wonderland" was also released on the same day. They performed at Busan One Asia Festival on October 20.
On November 2, Ateez performed at Jindai Festa in Yokohama, Japan.
On December 4, ATEEZ performed at Mnet Asian Music Awards 2019 in Nagoya, Japan, where they received Worldwide Fan Choice top 10 awards. On the same day, ATEEZ released their Japanese debut album Treasure EP. EXTRA: Shift The Map.
2020: Treasure Epilogue: Action to Answer, Treasure Ep. Map to Answer, Zero: Fever Part 1, Mingi's hiatus[]
On January 6, 2020, they released their fourth mini album Treasure Epilogue: Action to Answer.
On October 24, 2019, ATEEZ announced that they would be holding a world tour called The Fellowship: Map The Treasure in 2020. It began in Seoul at Olympic Hall on February 8 and 9. On March 11, 2020, MyMusicTaste announced the European leg would be postponed in light of European government regulations due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The seven stops will be rescheduled to a later date and tickets refunded.
On February 12, they made their first Japanese comeback with their first Japanese mini album Treasure Ep. Map to Answer. On July 29, they released their fifth mini album Zero : Fever Part 1.
It was announced on November 15, 2020 that Mingi would be going on hiatus from the group due to psychological anxiety problems.
On December 6, San participated in a special collaboration stage at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards, confirming their appearance in the upcoming show Kingdom: Legendary War.
2021: Zero : Fever Part 2, Into the A to Z, Kingdom: Legendary War, "Dreamers", Zero : Fever Part 3, Zero : Fever Epilogue, collaborations[]
On February 5, 2021, KQ Entertainment announced that although Mingi is still in hiatus, he would still take part in the recording of their sixth mini album Zero : Fever Part 2. On March 1, 2021, they then released their sixth mini album Zero : Fever Part 2.
On March 24, they released their second Japanese studio album Into the A to Z.
On the tenth and final episode of Kingdom: Legendary War, which was aired on June 3, ATEEZ's final rank was third out of the six teams.
On July 14, members Hongjoong and Yunho, credited as ATEEZ, participated in the 2021 Pepsi X Starship K-Pop Campaign by releasing the collaboration single Taste of Korea with Rain, MONSTA X, & Brave Girls)}}. Four days later, 2021, it was announced that Mingi fully regained his health after 8 months of recovery and he will be returning from hiatus. On July 28, they released their first Japanese single "Dreamers".
On August 16, they released a collaborative album with Kim Jong Kook, titled Season Songs.
On September 13, they released their seventh mini album Zero : Fever Part 3.
On October 18, they revealed a teaser photo saying that ATEEZ XR Show 'Fever: eXtended edition'] will be coming soon on November 14. It was further revealed that it would be an online performance that is extended by special XR stages.
On November 14, KQ Entertainment was announced that ATEEZ would be going on a world tour called The Fellowship : Beginning of the End in 2022. The first date will be in Seoul on January 7 with the last date planned to be in Madrid in March 1.
On December 10, they released their first repackage EP Zero : Fever Epilogue.
2022: The Fellowship : Beginning of the End, "Don't Stop", Beyond : Zero, The World Ep.1: Movement, The Fellowship : Break the Wall, "Poppia", The World EP.Paradigm, "Spin Off : From The Witness"[]
On January 7 to January 9, 2022, the group performed at Seoul on their first concert of the year for the The Fellowship : Beginning of the End world tour. On the first day of the Seoul concert, on January 7, MyMusicTaste announced that the European leg of The Fellowship : Beginning of the End, which was originally scheduled from February 13 to March 1, will be postponed due to COVID-19. On January 24, UNIVERSE revealed that ATEEZ would be participating in their UNIVERSE Music project as with the release of Don’t Stop, which was released on January 31.
On May 25, ATEEZ released their second Japanese mini album Beyond : Zero.
On April 23, fans noticed several posters both in Hongdae, Seoul and outside the venue of ATEEZ's concert in Madrid, Spain. The posters featured a QR code ledding to an unlisted video teasing for a comeback in July 2022. On June 28, ATEEZ posted a teaser image with a QR code on their social media accounts before immediately deleting it. The code lead to to an audio file along with the "Propaganda" teaser revealing the title of their eighth mini album, The World Ep.1: Movement, which was released on July 29.
On July 18, the group announced that they would be holding their second world tour of the year, The Fellowship : Break the Wall.
On August 11, they released "Let's Together" OST Part. 2 for the Playlist web drama series, Mimicus.
On November 30, ATEEZ released their third Japanese mini album The World EP.Paradigm.
On December 12, QR codes were discovered in Hongdae, South Korea and outside the venue of ATEEZ's concert in Chiba, Japan. When scanned, the QR codes lead fans to a Instagram account, and a poster teasing the upcoming release of ATEEZ's first single album, "Spin Off : From The Witness", on December 30.
2023: "Limitless", The World Ep.2: Outlaw, Jongho's hiatus, The World Ep.Fin: Will[]
On February 15, 2023, they announced that they will release their second Japanese single Limitless (Single) on March 22.
On April 29, the Seoul Economic Daily reported that ATEEZ will be releasing an album in June. Although KQ Entertainment has not confirmed the report, fans discovered a QR code on a banner outside the venue of ATEEZ's encore concert in Seoul on April 28, leading to a teaser poster hinting at the group's upcoming comeback. On May 14, they posted a teaser for their ninth mini album, The World Ep.2: Outlaw, set to be released on June 16.
On August 20, KQ Entertainment announced that member Jongho had returned to Korea due to experiencing extreme pain on his leg. On August 26, KQ Entertainment released an additional statement announcing that Jongho underwent surgery to receive intensive management for his existing injury. He would also be temporarily taking a break from all group and individual activities until further notice in order to focus on his rehabilitation post-surgery. On October 12, KQ Entertainment announced that member Jongho would be returning from his hiatus and that he will "avoid intense choreography" and perform on stage while sitting or standing.
On October 8, ATEEZ airdropped a teaser image to fans attending their performance at the 2023 Gangnam Festival Yeongdong-daero K-Pop Concert in Seoul, hinting at an upcoming comeback. On October 24, the group dropped the teaser for their second full-length album The World Ep.Fin: Will, which was released on December 1, 2023.
On November 29, at the MAMA Awards, ATEEZ performed the title track Crazy Form two days before the official release.
2024: Towards the Light: Will to Power, "NOT OKAY", Coachella 2024, Grammy Museum 2024, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1, 1st Fanmeeting, Mawazine 2024, "Birthday", Collaborations, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2[]
On December 8, 2023, ATEEZ announced their plans to embark on a new world tour next year Towards the Light : Will to Power.
On January 12, they announced that they will release their third Japanese single NOT OKAY on February 28.
On January 17, the line-up for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2024 was revealed. The organizers have prepared a special surprise for K-pop fans on April 12 and 19 with ATEEZ joining the headliner, making the group the first Korean boy group to take the stage at Coachella.
On February 8, 2022, as part of its new Global Spin Live series, the GRAMMY Museum welcomed K-pop group ATEEZ for an intimate conversation moderated by Emily Mei. Starting April 10 through June 10, the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles will host its inaugural K-pop-focused pop-up display titled "KQ Entertainment (ATEEZ & xikers) : A GRAMMY Museum Pop-Up", where ATEEZ's main look outfits from their 2023 music video for "The World Ep.Fin: Will" and other various props will be exposed.
On April 12, during a performance at Coachella 2024, a banner reading "Back to A" was seen flying with a never-before-seen photo, hinting at an upcoming comeback. The group's TikTok and Instagram also released a filter containing a previously unreleased track. On April 21, they released a teaser schedule for their 10th mini album GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1, which will be released on May 31.
On May 6, ATEEZ announced their first ATEEZ 2024 Fanmeeting "Atiny's Voyage : From A to Z". It will take place at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul over two days, July 6th and 7th.
It was also announced on May 6 that ATEEZ will be headlining the Mawazine 2024 festival this June, which will be held in Rabat, Morocco. Thanks to this, ATEEZ becomes the first K-pop group invited to the festival and will perform on the main stage of OLM SOUISSI on June 23. Interesting fact, the debut video was filmed entirely in Morocco, so this is a legendary return for the artists.
On June 14, 2024, KQ Entertainment announced that Wooyoung will not be attending the Mawazine Festival in Morocco due to cholinergic urticaria.
On June 22, all eight members of the group opened up personal accounts on Instagram.
On June 28, Japanese group BE:FIRST announced a collaboration with ATEEZ, which will be released on July 1, 2024 under the name Hush-Hush.
On July 16, they announced that they will release their fourth Japanese single Birthday on October 2.
On August 8, ATEEZ announced that they would release their first English remix single Work Pt.4 featuring G-Eazy the next day.
On August 30, they announced a collaboration with Japanese group BE:FIRST, which will be released on September 4, 2024, under the name "Royal".
On their sixth anniversary on October 24, ATEEZ unveiled a video teaser for their 11th mini album, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2, which is scheduled to be released on November 15.
